There is no escaping the fact that a funeral is a sad and emotional occasion, and often one of the most difficult moments you will have to go through in your life. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not possible to have a “good” funeral. This is your unique chance to say goodbye to your loved one in the way you think they would want or is befitting to them if you are left in a position where you are not sure what they would want.

As a fully insured and trained independent funeral celebrant, it is my job to make sure that the funeral ceremony of your loved one goes smoothly and helps you grieve for them in an uplifting environment of positivity and celebration of their life. I will do this inclusive of your cultural, spiritual and religious, or non-religious beliefs.

I will achieve this by spending time talking to you, and anyone else you would like to be there, collecting information, possibly looking at photos, memories, thinking about songs, poems, readings, prayers or hymns to bring together a picture of the deceased, that can be shared by all of us who attend the service and culminate in a fitting tribute to their life.
We can talk about who would like to contribute by sharing a reading, a poem, live music, or simply saying some words, if at all. I will help you create a personal and original story of your loved one’s life that can help you celebrate and grieve them in a special way.
I will stay in contact with you right up to the service and provide you with a draft of the planned ceremony, ensuring everything possible that you want is included, and that all the details I have are correct and true to what you want. I will provide you with a written copy of the service before the day to make sure of this and a printed one after the event for your keeping.
Death often comes as a shock, and it can be difficult to formulate all your memories and thoughts under a time of immense sadness and pressure. I will ask lots of questions and aim to get the best information from you and all that I need to provide a really full and beautiful service. However, if anything is forgotten at the interview, I am more than happy to make amendments to the information collected. My priorities are your needs.
Price: £220 (Weekday) and £260 (Weekend)

What is included?
Writing of the personal eulogy and service, assisting with content for order of service and a presentation copy of the script. On the day of the funeral, I will conduct the funeral service and support any family members and friends who want to participate.
As a professional funeral celebrant I am fully insured.

Additional travel costs if I have to travel outside of the areas stated below.

Based in Hampshire, the areas I cover are Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport and Meon Valley.
